Day of mourning
As the United States residents wake up, it's a normal Monday, rushing kids off to school, driving in to work, but for our fellow pit bull loving Canadian friends and loved ones that live in Ontario, this is a day of mourning. Today, Bill 132 goes into effect. All lovable, adorable pitties are required to be leashed and muzzled in public. No more importing pitties into Ontario. No more puppies born after November will be allowed to live. All existing pitties are required to be spayed/neutered. Fines galore to the owner of a pit bull if all the details of the law are not followed, along with a horrible fate for the pit. Innocent pits will be lost, murdered, and experimented on.
Today, I bow my head in sympathy for the pit bull loving people of Ontario. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort the one's that have pet bulls as a part of their family during this trial of affliction. I pray for a change of heart of Michael Bryant, when he sees the pain and suffering that the lovers of pit bulls are going through. I pray that their will be an ammendment to Bill 132. I pray for strength to each pit bull loving Ontarian, to continue to fight for our beloved pets. In Jesus name, Amen.
As I type this, tears swell up in my eyes... especially for a dear friend and her special baby. Connie, my heart goes out to you and Shasta. I love you girl, stand strong, and give a big hug to Shasta for me.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Today has been an unusually quiet and somber day. I took Shasta for her last walk of freedom without the muzzle last night.
I want so much to take her for her walk today, that I've started to several times, but can't bring myself to put the muzzle on her. She looks so sad, as if punished by it.
But my heart is with the dogs and pups across Ontario that don't even have that option to wear a muzzle. Their lives taken from them only because of the breed they were born into and I mourn for them. Thousands of them for no other reason that cowards abandoned them in their time of need.
They love so unconditionally, yet in return their masters betrayed them and set their fate.
Your prayer set my tears in motion as I think I was numb prior to reading your post. The past few days scripture kept coming to me. Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light." I claim it and stand on it. Thank you Lord! And thank you Andee!
OMG...that is the most horrific thing I've ever read. How wrong!
I wish people would accept responsibility for their pets. This never would have happened if they had.
Very sad.
By the way, I'm laughing at you having Wang Chung stuck in your head. The .gif does have a good groove though. Try it with other songs. It's fun.
Thanks for stopping by.
