My Poor Little Pit Bull
Today I had to take Storm to the vet today, the 3rd time in the past 3 weeks. She weighed a wopping 53.8 pounds! We took her back because of her strained, possibly torn, cruciate legiment. This is a common problem with dogs. She's not to fond of being on the vet's table and unfortunately we had to sedate her because of she wouldn't let the vet feel her leg and look in her ears. (She'd been flapping quite a bit lately.) As soon as he sedated her, about 15 seconds later, she was out chasing squirrels in doggie land!
The vet has this really cool camera that goes down into the ear and shows up on the tv screen, Storm's ears looked like she had some 'taters growing in them. They flushed her ears really well. After all was said & done... & my pocketbook is a little thinner, I carried a limp Storm to the car. She was so pittiful. *sniff* I wanted to cry. This picture is of Storm when we got her home. I left Storm with her maw-maw because I had to go back to work. She's acting almost like herself now.
All in all, there's nothing to do except see if it will heal on it's own in about 6 weeks. That means no running & jumping. If this doesn't work... surgery. He didn't recommend putting a cast on it, because it would mess up the outside of her leg.
She's limping a lot more now, if you're reading this & don't mind, would you say a little prayer for her? Pray that she'll heal & not need surgery. Thank you, we really appreciate it!

Sam i am Give storm a hug .The hard part is going to be not letting her run and jump.Hang in there.
Thank you all very much for your purrayers, prayers & concerns... Storm & I appreciate them!!!
She loves to run & jump & play with her tug when I hold it in front of her. She always gets so excited when I bring it out of the closet.
And, it's always so funny to watch her do the "bull run" when she gets her little hyper spirt. Now that's a pittie thing, how am I suppose to keep her from doing that?
May storm heal soon. god bless this wonderful life being. :)
Prayers and well wishes to you!
I tore my ligament too in January, and though I didn't enjoy it I was put in a doggie crate for 4 weeks and wasn't allowed out except for toilet breaks - but my hind leg healed! Then I was put on 'restrictive' excercise for another 4 weeks - meaning leashed walks at all times. A boring 2 months no doubt but it sure helped.
Hope that you should not need surgery. Please keep us updated!
Sparky wishes Storm a very speedy recovery - you have our prayers!
Hey Storm,
You take care of yourself so you can soon be runnin' around.
My thoughts are with you and wish you a speedy recovery.
Woof!

Unfortunately since we've came back from the vet, Storm has been limping a lot more. I wonder if when the vet moved her knee around, it made it worse?!? I hope not, maybe it only irritated it just a bit.
Jellyfish, that is so sweet. Thanx!
Furkids, wow, how in the world did you do that??? I'm going to get my kennel out & give it a try. Although when I look at those sad eyes behind the kennel, I'm going to want to let her out. But I know it's for her best to keep her still.
HK, give Sparky a good scratch behind the ear as a thank you!
And a scratch behind the ear to you too Freda!
Thank you all! It feels good to know that there are others out there that have a heart!
Poor Storm...Bubba and Bella send slobbery kisses! Get better soon..

Hi Storm,
It's Shasta! Come on girl friend... you get well so we can run races around each other, but not until you're better.
Mommy says she is praying for you and going to teach me how too.
We love you Storm and Mommy too! We don't want you to have no op er a tion. I'm not sure what that is, but Mommy said, prayers are better than op er a tions.
Your bestest friend in the whole world, because you are like my sister.
Love Shasta and Mommy xoxoxoxoxo
Mommy said to tell you she loves your Mommy too!
Bye
Shasta, you are such a good girl! I hope your paw gets better really soon too!
