Please say a prayer
Hello everyone, please say a prayer for my American Staffordshire Terrier, Storm. This afternoon, she was not acting like her normal self. She was very lethargic. She was moving extremely slow. So I rushed home from work to take her to the vet. My luck, the vet I normally go to takes Wednesday's off. The emergency vet did not open until "after hours". So my only other option was to take her to another vet. They were nice, but they couldn't tell me what was wrong with her. Not that I really expected them to. But, they did give her some medicine and thought that her tummy was bothering her. If she's not acting better by Friday, I'm going to take her to my vet. Please say some prayers that she'll be ok. It's really worrying me. :(
Does anyone out there have any ideas what could be wrong. We couldn't find anything bad that she had eaten or gotten into.
Update: It seems as if Storm is getting better!!!! She is wagging her tail, perking her ears, and jumping up when she gets excited. I'm hoping it was only some bad kitty treats or something.

hows her appetite, ...did you have alot thunder and lightning, storms..Sometimes I am always with my mummy playing ,runnig . but when she has to go to work and I have to be alone for awhile I can apear very lethargic sometimes ..Storm I sure hope you feel better
I will say special boxer prayer for you Storm.
Can you give me any other symptoms? Is she is pain when you touch her back or legs? Just monitor her and take her to the vet if she gets worse.

I know how scary it is to have a sick doggie. I wish they could tell how they are feeling.
I wish I could give you options on what might be wrong with her.
Is she eating, peeing and pooping? To me those are the most important things to see if she is feeling better or worse.

There wasn't any thunderstorms and she was staying at her maw-maw's house with the 2 boston terriers. (They are acting fine.) She does this all the time when I'm working.
Storm is pp-ing, sometimes twice when she goes out. Her poo is a little squirty. When she walks it is slow, usually she is walking all around, sniffing the daily news.
All she does is lay down and sleep. Now I don't know if the medicine she was given is making her that way also, because it had a small bit of muscle relaxant in it to help relax the muscles in her tummy.
She had a couple small perky moments, but they didn't last long. Her fever comes and goes. One time she won't feel so hot and a little bit later, she feels really hot. When the vet took her temp, she was just a little over 103°F. Normal temp is 101-102°F.
This is not normal for her, she's usually bouncing off the walls.
how is the sweet girl? Is she feeling better?
Update!!! Stormie seems to be feeling better! She actually perks up when she hears the word "treat". Her tail was wagging when she saw me.

how is our baby, the medicine might be upsetting her tummy,mmmmm lets see I have read that some dogs can have a bad experience with Advantix. The day after application, lethargic, lost appetite, and was very disoriented. In addition there was a slight loss of motor skills, as well as itching and restlessness.
Oh great, guess what Sam I Am... we just bought some Advantix for all our fur babies! Delilah had a tick on her the other day. Although they don't normally get ticks.
All those side-effects are scary. I think I'll wait a while before I put it on Storm. I'm going to wait until she finishes all her antibiotics. Storm is definitely seeming to feel better, but her poo is still not 100% right. But I think it has something to do with the antibiotics.
*whew* Thank God she is starting to perk up!

Our court fight just started this morning so my mind has been so preocupied. I'm soooo sorry.
