Any vet can have this test done, but for some reason none of the other 4 vets we have been to in the past year suggested it. That makes mommy kind of mad. She said that I didn't have to be sick for so long or lose so much weight, and we didn't need to waste time trying so many different kinds of dog food.
The test costs about $180, the vet needs to draw blood and send it to Michigan State University, that is where the food allergy test is done.
My mom has been reading a lot about itchy skin and read that usually it is due to allergy to fleas, something that the dog comes in contact with, or food allergies.
